Russia today occupies the 8th place in the world in the number of foreign students arriving to study in higher educational establishments. About 100000 foreign students from all over the world study on different academic programs annually.

Almost each university that provides the course for foreign students has the international union that supports foreign students in different aspects of life, education, leisure.

Every year Moscow University enrolls about 2000 international students and postgraduates from all over the world. Center for International Education is an important part of Lomonosov Moscow State University. It was established in early 1950s to ensure the educational and professional success of foreign students who had chosen to get higher education in this country. It has the oldest Pre-University department for foreign students in Russia, more than 45,000 learners from over 130 counties being its graduates. Students from France and Japan, UK and Mexico, Guadeloupe and Australia, China and USA and many other places come to study here. It’s a really multicultural and very friendly community.

Peoples’ Friendship University was established by the USSR government decree on February 5, 1960. The main aim was to give young people from Asia, Africa and Latin America an opportunity to get educated and to become highly qualified specialists at the university with peoples’ friendship priority. More than 47 thousand of its graduates, 4300 candidates and Doctors of Science work in 165 countries of the world.

The Academy has gained a considerable experience in the foreign students training. Since 1949 over 2500 specialists from 83 countries have been trained there. During the recent three years, the number of foreign students has tripled. Recently the Foreign Students Faculty of Academy celebrated its 50th anniversary. Today about 8600 students are currently studying at Moscow Medical Academy, and more than 1500 students, undergraduates and postgraduates, are foreigners from 79 countries of all continents. That proves the high value of the diploma of Academy in the world.
